My life has seemingly been taken over by paperwork.

This taskforce seems to have fulfilled my fears - that it would only draw further the ire of the muggleborn community. They have a right to be frightened, to be sure - the Death Eaters still run free, even the one that was caught in the midst of two murders.
I only hope the taskforce knows what they are doing. A large number of arrests of innocents won't do anybody any good.
This latest Prophet article will not help matters any, either. I hope the ministry has a good plan of attack for how to respond in a manner that will soothe the fears of the people, but I'm not terribly optimistic on that front.

Things have been going well. My sister-in-law is progressing well in her pregnancy, which is wonderful. The weather's brightening up, and while work is still busy, and there's still a lot to be done putting our government back together, I feel prepared to do what needs to be done.

With your Auror history, you seem the best person to ask - how do you feel about excluding Muggleborns from the taskforce? I can't decide, I can see why but also it seems misguided - emotions are high and this doesn't seem to be making it better.
Also - in your expertise, of course - are we getting a niece or nephew?

I've had a busy time at work, as you might imagine, but I managed to take some time off after business hours tonight to celebrate my birthday. Thirty years old. Well, I certainly feel it lately.

I hate to question the authority of such an experience auror, but really, what I wouldn't have given to have been the one to throw that man in Azkaban. These vigilantes are all about martyrdom, Selwyn probably helped him a great deal by killing him.

Busy week at work, I already feel like it's the end of the week and it's only the middle. I'm glad we have work to do, though. However, any first year barristers, I recommend you come prepared to your first case. Even for small infractions, you have to make a good impression on the people who you will be interacting with professionally for your whole career.
I just hope I can get off work early on Friday. My sister-in-law has a doctor's appointment, for the baby, and I'd like to be there.
